Darryl is
Blood Cancer United

My story began in 2006 when I ran my first marathon, and it was with Team In Training (TNT) during Disney Marathon Weekend. Little did I know at that time that my husband, who is a lymphoma survivor, would be diagnosed with lymphoma in August 2020 during the pandemic. He survived six months of chemotherapy and 12 treatments of radiation. It was a difficult time as there were various rules in place due to the pandemic. However, he survived and is now lymphoma-free. I find it only fitting for me to run and celebrate my husband and best friend. I know there are others, and we are grateful today for life, doctors, and medicine that allow our loved ones to stay with us longer and live through treatments and what feels like the most devastating experience in life.
