I’m a musician from Missouri named Jashon Hockaday (Jae Alxndr). I’ve been making music in the foreground and background for a while now. My life changed when I was diagnosed with primary non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) of the mandible.
As a new musician, my heart was broken as I couldn’t create the same. As time has progressed, I’ve turned more into an advocate and am looking to share awareness and help people like myself who didn’t have the infrastructure to give back.
I still make music and give back. And I am still a patient myself.
I've since been signed to Sony Records and primarily compose contemporary R&B and hip-hop music. I've undergone three surgeries due to my lymphoma diagnosis. I attribute my unwavering determination during this challenging period as the catalyst that enabled me to secure two Grammy Awards while undergoing treatment.
