I’m running in memory of our son, Hunter Michael. Hunter was a liver transplant survivor who was coming up on his four-year transplant anniversary. Sadly, he contracted Burkitt lymphoma (BL), and it was not detected. Hunter passed away on May 23, 2026 at the age of 26. He was a wonderful young man who was kind, caring, and genuine. He loved everything about Disney and moved to Florida after his transplant so that he could work for the “Mouse.”
Hunter had his whole life in front of him, and it was cut way too short. I want to honor his spirit and love and cannot think of a better way than to raise money for Blood Cancer United in his honor and memory.
