Our family’s life changed forever on August 19, 2024, when our son Hayes was diagnosed with high-risk B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) at just two years old.
Since that day, we have spent countless nights in the hospital, navigated difficult treatments and unexpected complications, and watched our little boy endure more than any child ever should. Through it all, organizations like Blood Cancer United have reminded us that we are not alone.
Blood Cancer United has given our family more than support — they have given us hope, community, and the opportunity to turn an incredibly difficult experience into something that can help other families walking the same road.
Hayes is now in maintenance treatment, and while we still have a road ahead of us, we are so grateful for every milestone that brings us closer to ringing that bell.
