The past two years have been full of emotions for our family. After I was deployed for over a year, with only seeing my family a few times during that time span, we had the opportunity to come to Nashville to be closer to family. We gladly set off to move, starting a new job and living up the road from my in-laws. However, as 2025 began, my wife, Rachel, felt something in her neck, close to her collarbone. With many who were close to us waving it off as maybe just a muscle, Rachel acted on her intuition and sought medical advice. On our anniversary trip, we received the news: Rachel was diagnosed with stage 2 Hodgkin lymphoma (HL). Our lives were turned upside down. With the support from our family, friends, and our new relationships built following our new move, we had a path before us that we boldly started. We are now close to the finish line, as Rachel is in complete remission. She endured rough days of chemo treatments, nausea, body aches, and a whirl of emotions. She has a new look but the same self, just a little stronger. We are truly thankful and looking forward to our new beginning!
