I was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) in April 2022. The doctors estimated I had less than two weeks to live. I was told to get my affairs in order, but VCU Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center had a clinical trial available to save my life. My professional and compassionate Dr. Keri Maher believed in me as a patient with hope and resilience. I enjoy advocating for affordable prescription drugs, the importance of clinical trials, and research funding to continue groundbreaking work.
