Jashon is
Blood Cancer United

Jashon, Lymphoma survivor, listening to music on headphones

I’m a musician from Missouri, now Tennessee, named Jashon Hockaday (Jae Alxndr). I’ve been making music in the fore- and background for a while now. My life changed when I was diagnosed with primary non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) of the mandible.

As a new musician, my heart was broken as I couldn’t create the same as I did before. As time has progressed, I’ve turned more into an advocate looking to share awareness and help people like myself who didn’t have the infrastructure to give back.

I still make music and give back. And I am still a patient myself. It’s been a year since my last update, and although my life hasn’t gotten any easier, having others alongside me has meant the world. Recently I received a distribution deal with Epic Records, and it’s helped me show others embarking on my journey that it’s only beginning . . . not ending.
