My dad was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) in 2019. The outlook sounded so bleak that he considered not pursuing treatment, but I pleaded with him to do chemo and anything possible to extend his life; I wasn't ready to say goodbye. He agreed to try it, and we had three amazing, long years of remission. When the cancer came back in spring 2022, it was brutally hard and fast. He was in so much pain the second time, it was a blessing that his life ended quickly. He was my best friend, and I still miss him every day. I'm helping Blood Cancer United to raise crucial funds to honor my dad's memory.
