I have been living with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) since 2010, and I wanted to share two cool things about these “Then & Now” pictures:
- The first picture of my husband and me was taken in 2017 at a restaurant in Portsmouth, NH. It's one of our favorite spots, and each time we head up to New England, it's our first stop in Portsmouth. We eat on the same outdoor covered terrace no matter what the weather, and we have someone take a picture of us in the same spot.
- In both pictures, my sweetie is wearing his T-shirt that says "Proud Team in Training Supporter / Leukemia Lymphoma Society." He purchased it in 2017 when I was participating in Team in Training (TNT) to raise money for Blood Cancer United (formerly LLS), and he wore it again last spring when we volunteered at The Big Climb, a fundraising event for Blood Cancer United. (My LLS shirt says "Fighting Cancer is in Our Blood", and I wear that proudly too, for all of us patients and survivors.
Thank you, Blood Cancer United, for everything you do.
