I am a Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) cancer survivor. I was diagnosed with cancer during my college years and took a semester off to begin chemotherapy and treatment. This was an incredibly scary and challenging time in my life. As any cancer survivor contemplates upon diagnosis, one of my initial thoughts was, “How long do I have?” Not knowing the answer to that question was one of my biggest fears as I felt like I hadn’t accomplished everything I wanted to in my lifetime. After several rounds of chemotherapy, losing most of my hair, and feeling more exhausted than I’ve ever felt in my lifetime . . . I beat cancer!

Today I am almost six years cancer-free. I have taken my experience with cancer and turned it into the fuel that has ignited my flame in my career and personal life. I’ve learned that you don’t know how much time you have on this earth, so it’s all the more reason to take calculated risks and just go for it — chase your dreams, don’t leave anything unspoken, and push for growth. I am currently growing my boutique marketing agency based out of Phoenix, Arizona, where I help tell brands and businesses stories through creative and strategic marketing. I also created a podcast where I normalize difficult and vulnerable conversations.
As an adolescent and young adult cancer survivor, I feel immense gratitude to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) for the advocacy and awareness they bring to blood cancer. I’ve been an avid social media follower for years and stand by their mission.
