My daughter Ariana is a cancer survivor of stage 3 Hodgkin lymphoma (HL). When she was 13, she was diagnosed. After all the hospital and doctor visits, they finally found the tumors inside her body.
She is a very creative young woman. She was in a video class and made a couple of videos in which she won prizes for her school. She also won the California student art media, and in Escondido, she won an award for being first place. She made videos on self-esteem and hair loss which talked about her struggles, especially in middle school. She is a fighter and an amazing advocate. She loves animals and is president of an animal club that donates blankets to no-kill shelters. She is working hard on trying to apply for college and works part-time as a peer tutor. Her teachers speak highly of her and say how much love and passion she has to help others. She is working hard to be the best she can be. She loves her family, and when she got her wish granted through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, she chose something for her immediate family. Ariana is the best daughter anyone can ask for.
