Lily

Lily

Lymphoma survivor

My name is Lily Tran. On December 7, 2007, my father passed away. A week after returning home from the funeral, I was sick with pneumonia. My primary care doctor prescribed me antibiotics and an inhaler. Two weeks later, I was still not feeling well. I was experiencing swelling and a sharp pain on the right side of my stomach.

Betty

Betty

Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) survivor

In 2013, after doing a 60-mile, three-day walk in support of breast cancer, of which I am also a survivor of, I realized that something seemed wrong as the walk was extremely difficult for me, unlike the previous five walks I had done. I made an appointment to see my doctor that next week and after doing some tests, I was told I had acute myeloid leukemia (AML).

AML Survivor

On October 22, 2013, as a senior in college, I was spontaneously diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML).  I was immediately admitted into the hospital and began chemotherapy. The doctors basically said, "good luck”, as I received the routine treatment that has a survival rate of 25%. My life was flipped upside down in a matter of days.

Hello, my name is Lindsay. I was recently diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia (CML).

Among being diagnosed with this my husband and I have been going through infertility as well. It is helpful to connect with others going through the same process that we are.

God bless!

Emily

Emily

Lymphoma Survivor

My daughter, Emily is my hero! She is 25 years old and was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in June 2018. Her initial symptoms started with a cough and her losing weight while we lived in Texas, which we assumed was from her working her new job, which was very physical. We left Texas May 26 and drove from Fort Hood to Massachusetts, almost 2000 miles. None of us knew Emily was so sick.

Mackenzie

Mackenzie

Survivor

At nine years old I received the devastating news that I had leukemia. I didn’t know exactly what this meant and little did I know that it meant years of treatment, hair loss, loss of friends, and learning who I was meant to be. I was a patient at St. Jude and received treatments for two and a half years. I lost my hair, I had SVTs, I had seizures, and everything that could happen did happen.
