Hunter, young B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) patient, in baseball cap

I would like to introduce everyone to my little warrior, Hunter. When he was just four years old, he had an enlarged stomach that just kept getting bigger and bigger with no answers as to why. Well, finally in October, his doctor sent him for more testing to hopefully finally get a diagnosis that could be treated. We were thinking appendicitis, which would be an easier cure than leukemia. On October 26, 2021, when we were referred to the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, our worst fear became a reality. Our sweet, caring, little boy had B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) that made his spleen and liver get enlarged. From there, we had to learn all new stuff and figure out the best care plan for him.

We decided for Mom to stay home and be his primary care personnel. With that, things have been very hard financially and mentally, but we keep pushing and aren't giving up. Hunter has been such a trooper through this all and isn't letting it drag him down. Hunter has three brothers and four sisters, but his one main person he keeps fighting for is his little brother, Ryder, who has been with him from the beginning, starting with being in Mommy’s belly and then doing all the hospital stays with him. We have received some help from this amazing foundation which is much appreciated and has helped a bunch. Unfortunately, though, bills don't stop coming, and money goes faster than we would like, but our main focus is keeping our warrior healthy and happy.
