Treating Acute Leukemias: Blood Cancer United-NMDP Project ECHO Series

The Project ECHO model is designed to create a shared learning space for healthcare professionals through a series of educational sessions, fostering peer engagement and disseminating best practices in community care. Rapid advances in the treatment of acute leukemias, including acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), can make treatment decisions challenging. This virtual series will help providers stay up to date on the latest in disease-specific indications, treatment with HCT and cell therapy, and post-treatment monitoring and care coordination to improve patient outcomes.

Applying Genomics and Biomarker Testing in Caring for Patients with Blood Cancer: A Primer for Healthcare Providers

Precision medicine is an emerging approach for prediction of disease risk and disease treatment afforded by the delivery of more precise and efficient care. This approach combines traditional methods with genetic and genomic information for a more personalized approach to disease management. This video will help clinicians become familiar with foundational genomic information to take part in the integration of biomarker testing for precise diagnosis, assessing targeted therapeutic options, and avoidance of adverse reactions when treating patients with blood cancer.

The series covers: updates on new therapies, BTK inhibitors, and case studies, including recent trial results, potential new therapies, and an analysis of considerations to bear in mind when deciding on treatment options.
