For too long, dysfunction in the larger political environment has jeopardized blood cancer patients’ access to care – especially for underserved or minority populations and those who are un- or under-insured.
To ensure lasting policy change truly improves lives, LLS must go beyond initiating policy creation and adoption. We also are committed to ensuring its ongoing effective implementation.
One way we do this is by filing court briefs representing the interest of blood cancer patients—which can contribute to the development of a robust public record and protect patient-friendly policies in the long-term.
We also offer thoughtful, manageable proposals for how Congress can use its oversight authority to protect patients.
