Program details
Join us for Thriving Beyond Cancer in the Heartland, a patient education program hosted by Blood Cancer United for individuals and families of all ages affected by blood cancer in Kansas. This program is designed to provide clear, approachable education to help patients feel more informed and supported throughout their care journey.
This program will feature Dr. Alec Britt, a hematologist-oncologist, from Stormont Vail Heath as well as Tamara Petrin LMSW, from Wesley Medical Center. Our speakers will dive into how different blood cancers manifest in the body, updates on treatments and research, and explore ways to cope and thrive beyond the diagnosis of a blood cancer.
This educational program will include complimentary hors d'oeuvres and dinner and is open to patients, caregivers, loved ones, and anyone impacted by blood cancer.
