Program details
Owning your health is a powerful step toward breaking the cycles of disparity and building healthier communities. Join us for a program that will offer knowledge, resources, and confidence building to address the higher rates of certain cancers (like myeloma) within the Black community as well as the navigation of systemic barriers and cultural stigmas that prevent timely care.
Attendees will walk away with practical information and tools to advocate for themselves and their loved ones, ask the right questions in medical settings and make informed decisions about screenings, lifestyle changes, and treatment options. Information will also be shared on the comprehensive support resources available through Blood Cancer United and other community organizations.
This program aims to change the narrative through awareness, education, and action. When we are informed, we are stronger- and our lives depend on it. Come for information. Stay for connection. Leave empowered.
