Ropeginterferon alfa-2b-njft is indicated for the treatment of adults with essential thrombocythemia and adults with polycythemia vera.
Side effects needing medical attention
Essential thrombocythemia: The most common adverse reactions were high levels of certain liver enzymes in the blood, anemia, fever, beta 2 microglobulin urine increased, bacterial infection, itching, and loss of weight.
Polycythemia vera: The most common adverse reactions were influenza-like illness, joint pain, fatigue, itchy skin, common cold, and musculoskeletal pain.
