On July 28, 2023 I was diagnosed with T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma (T-LBL) and leukemia.

I was given a month to live.

I endured sepsis, pneumonia, sugar issues, and 8 months of chemo to eventually get a bone marrow transplant from an unrelated donor from Germany.

I was at the pinnacle of my life at 26 years old in my career of my dreams. I was told if I make it through, I’d never work again.

I’ve been back to work for almost 2 years. After my transplant, I achieved everything on my bucket list. I went to 15 Major League Baseball (MLB) games, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), drove to Alaska by myself, drove out west multiple times by myself and went skydiving on my 2 year anniversary to name a few.

It is my only hope to inspire those who have endured this disease and have no fear.

A man lies in a hospital bed wearing a bright red cape, surrounded by IV lines, medical tubing, and snacks on his bedside tray. The cape draped across his shoulders adds a touch of courage and lightness to the clinical setting, reflecting the strength, hope, and unwavering spirit often shown by individuals and families whose lives have been touched by blood cancer.
