Savannah is
Blood Cancer United

A blood cancer patient stands outdoors in a sunlit, leafy setting, wearing a light-colored, flutter‑sleeve dress and a small hair clip, with hands gently held near the chest, conveying a quiet, tender moment in nature.

When Savannah was born, her family was overjoyed to welcome their first beautiful baby girl. But within days, her parents noticed something unusual — a mysterious “blueberry muffin” rash spreading across her tiny body. At first, doctors dismissed it as a harmless skin condition. Her parents weren’t convinced, and when a dermatologist examined Savannah, they immediately knew something was wrong. Further testing revealed the unthinkable: at just 11 days old, Savannah was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML).

No family is ever prepared to hear the words, “Your newborn baby has cancer.” Yet from the very beginning, Savannah showed strength and resilience far greater than her small size. Through treatments and challenges most adults could never imagine, she fought bravely — and today, she is in remission. Just recently, Savannah celebrated her second birthday, a milestone her family cherishes deeply. Her mom has become a passionate advocate for childhood cancer awareness, determined to use Savannah’s story to bring hope and to ensure other families never feel alone in the fight.

Now a vibrant, spunky toddler, Savannah fills every day with joy. She loves swimming, exploring the outdoors, and playing dress-up with her older brothers and cousins. Her favorite moments are often the simple ones — curling up with a Moana book or watching her favorite movie (of course, Moana) while enjoying a bowl of mac and cheese!

Savannah’s journey is a reminder of adversity, hope, and the power of never giving up. Her story continues to inspire everyone who meets her, and we are honored to have her as part of our Blood Cancer United family.
