My husband, Mike, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) in 2002. The doctor’s office gave us information about Blood Cancer United.
We were put in contact with an adult who had the same diagnosis and finished his treatments to talk with my husband. That was the best thing ever! The fact that they got in touch with another male who truly understood how he felt was something no one else could do for him.
At that point, I got involved with Light The Night (LTN), having bands play concerts to raise money along with friends and family donations. I will be forever grateful for the help they have given emotionally and financially.
