Shortly after I started my career and got married, I was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). In fact, my husband and I moved into our first home together not knowing that just five days later I would be admitted to the hospital and have to stay for 40 days in the fight of my life. After a year of chemotherapy and immunotherapy, I transitioned to maintenance chemotherapy, and that is my current treatment plan for the next few years. I started sharing my story on TikTok to find other adults with ALL and build a community I did not find in person. It’s been so amazing to not feel alone and to share the good and bad moments.
