Blood Cancer United

As a physician myself, I had some idea of the ramifications of a cancer diagnosis. However, when my own four-year-old, previously healthy daughter was diagnosed with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL), my whole world turned upside down. During her two and a half years of treatment, my entire goal was to not only make sure she was cured but also to make sure she maintained who she was and the joys of childhood. Blood Cancer United provides amazing patient support services and was integral in helping me enroll my daughter in a specific clinical trial outside of our home state. Additionally, their role in finding more effective and more tolerable treatments for childhood cancers will be integral to the eradication of morbidity and mortality from childhood cancer. Thank you, Blood Cancer United.
