Rhonda is
Blood Cancer United

In 2012, I was diagnosed with stage 4 non-Hodgkin lymphoma. I had 10 rounds of radiation and six treatments of chemotherapy (R-Chop). It was a very rough journey, however, by the grace of God, the love of family, and of course, the wonderful doctors and advances in cancer treatments I persevered through.

The reason I chose to share my story is because this July I will be coming up on five years of being cancer free and hopefully my testimonial will be encouraging to someone else. I would also like to share words of encouragement to never give up, never stop fighting and never stop believing.

What helps me stay in this mindset is to try and always find something to be thankful for no matter what I'm going through. I also stay involved with volunteering by feeding the homeless, Light The Night events and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society IHOP Pancake Day to raise money for cancer.

I also encourage myself by taking a picture every year to see how far I have come from when this journey first began. In July, I will take another picture to add to my collage.
