Miguel is
Blood Cancer United

Miguel was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin lymphoma in 2017. He was an active, healthy man all his life so this came as a total shock. We didn't know what to expect or what the outcome would be and we were both beyond devastated.

As being inquisitive is my nature, I gathered all the information I could and became extremely proactive in my husband's care and my determination to get him healed from this disease. Giving up was NOT an option for either of us.

After surgery, six cycles of chemotherapy, numerous lumbar punctures and hospital stays, he was thrilled to hear the doctors tell him he had no evidence of disease as of October.

Miguel had an amazing attitude and outlook throughout his treatments and his doctor even said to him, "You are an inspiration to other patients." He is back to work full time, enjoying life every day.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was extremely helpful and supportive in his care and my education in learning all about his diagnosis. We are both extremely grateful to his entire medical team at Weill Cornell and LLS.
